RAW MATERIALS

Wherever possible, we use organic and lactate grade solvents in our ink formulations. Many of these are used in the food industry as preservatives and unlike other solvents, are broken down naturally by the body. This means the majority of our solvent based inks (with the exception of our coding and marking inks) are classified as non-hazardous for transportation purposes, reducing shipping costs for our customers.

MANUFACTURING WASTE REDUCTION PROGRAMME

By working closely with the Institute of Manufacturing in the UK, we have developed and implemented ‘lean manufacturing’ best practice, where we continually seek to improve manufacturing and packaging methods to improve overall efficiencies and minimise waste. We have achieved a dramatic reduction in solvent waste when compared with other ink manufacturing environments.

ECO SOLVENT AND IMPROVED PERFORMANCE INKS

Digitl Ink manufactures a choice of two eco solvent inks, which have a reduced solvent content and do not emit harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) into the atmosphere. Furthermore, our enhanced range of premium ink products provides superior printing performance when compared with some OEM inks, reducing ink lay down and paper wastage. Our light stable outdoor inks can be displayed for a significant length of time, meaning there is less need to reprint billboards and banners part way through a campaign.
